These are standalone workshops– participants are not required to do both.

 

Workshop 1: Assessment and Chronology (E&L) (9.30 am – 12.30 pm)

 

Aim - To improve participant’s knowledge and understanding of developing a child wellbeing assessment and chronology.

 

Learning Outcomes – on completion of this training participants should be able to:

 

  • Develop and maintain a succinct chronology
  • Understand how to use a chronology to support assessment
  • Develop a child assessment using the child wellbeing indicators
  • Understand the importance of a strong analysis as part of the child assessment

Workshop 2: Child’s Plan (E&L) (1.30 pm – 4.00 pm)

 

Aim - To improve participant’s knowledge and understanding of developing a child centred plan.

 

Learning Outcomes – on completion of this training participants should be able to:

 

  • Understand the importance of having a child centred plan
  • Understand the difference between inputs, outputs and outcomes
  • Be able to write SMART outcomes
  • Review a child’s plan effectively

 

Target Group

 

These are multi-agency training for staff working with children, young people and/or their families.
