Aim - To improve participant’s confidence and preparation for attending Court as a witness when there have been child protection concerns.  This includes when you may be involved due to a criminal case, children’s hearing court proceedings or civil cases eg parental contact disputes.

 

Learning Outcomes – The thought of giving evidence in court can be daunting.  The purpose of this session is therefore:
 

  • To allay anxieties you may have in relation to being a witness
  • To increase your confidence in relation to being a witness
  • To improve the evidence that you may give in court

 

 Target Group - This is multi-agency training for staff working with children, young people and/or their families who may be required to attend Court and provide evidence as a witness.
