Top Tips to Stay Safe 

  • Always tell a trusted adult where you are going.
  • Never go anywhere with a stranger, even if they seem nice.
  • Use the buddy system – stay with friends or family you trust.
  • If someone makes you feel scared or uncomfortable, say no, get away, and tell someone.

Top Tips to Stay Safe Online

  • Never meet someone who you talk to online if you don’t know them in real life.
  • Don’t talk to people you don’t know in real life online.
  • Tell a parent, carer or trusted adult about what you see and who you speak to online.
  • Never share your full name, address, phone number, school name, pictures or passwords.
  • If someone says something mean or creepy, block them and tell an adult.
  • Only use apps, games, or websites that your parents or carers say are okay.

Is a free, confidential, 24/7 Text support service for anyone in the UK who is struggling to cope. To start a conversation text the word “Shout” to 85258. Trained Shout volunteers are here to listen at any time of day or night and messages won’t appear on your phone bill.

Who Cares Scotland

Is Scotland’s only national independent membership organisation for Care Experienced people.The Helpline was set up to support Care Experienced people by providing lifelong advocacy throughout Scotland. Fife Sexual Assault Response and Co-ordination Service

If you have recently been raped or sexually assaulted, it’s understandable if you don’t know what to do or where to turn. SARCS is a dedicated NHS service for anyone 16 or over  which can offer healthcare and support in the days after an assault, if you are not ready to tell the police or are unsure - you can self-refer to a SARCS
